Thanks for the post.
The problem with tray icon might be due to some permission issue, tray icon is not having enough permissions. Right click and exit the tray icon from the task bar and then navigate to the PMP installation directory, right click on the file PMP.exe-->Properties-->Select the tab "Compatibilty" and check the box "Run this program as an administrator" and then right click on the file PMP.exe and select Run as Administrator. You will be able to stop and start PMP service from the tray icon.
