I am having the exact same problem.  My log file is just about a perfect copy as yours line for line.

Running CentOS 6.8
Looks like it is failing to initialize the PSQL 9.5 instance during the upgrade, which is resulting in a FilenotFound exception.

High Availability - new setup Secondary Server won't start

I have upgraded a primary PMP instance from build 7100 to build 8600. I have downloaded and installed build 8600 and followed the HA setup guide for Postgres. I have tried to start the secondary server but it won't start.

the wrapper.log contains:

NFO   | jvm 1    | 2016/11/24 15:00:00 | Trying to start PostgresSQL server failed

The relevant text in the serverout0.txt seems to be:

[14:53:42:293]|[11-24-2016]|[com.zoho.framework.utils.crypto.EnDecrypt]|[SEVERE]|[27]: Encryption failed|

Any help greatly appreciated.

After upgrading to build 8600 after logon a yellow banner is displayed with the following text:

Henceforth, recorded sessions can be stored only in an external location and not in Password Manager Pro database. To configure an external location, click here

Clicking the link and configuring the options does not stop the banner appearing.

Managed to fix this. The folder location that PMP was configured to record to did not exist. Created the folder and saved the setting and the banner has gone now.

REST API - Create Account and populate custom fields

I'm able to create accounts successfully using this approach:

I want to be able to create and account and at the same time populate some custom fields we have in our system.  In the create resource section:

It shows how you can create a resource and populate custom fields by adding the following to the JSON string:
"RESOURCECUSTOMFIELD":[
            {
               "CUSTOMLABEL":"Secure Resource",
               "CUSTOMVALUE":"YES"
            }...
I've tried adding the following to the create account call:

"ACCOUNTCUSTOMFIELD":[
            {
               "CUSTOMLABEL":"Secure Resource",
               "CUSTOMVALUE":"YES"
            }...
I've However this does not seem to actually populate the custom field.  Anyone manage to get custom fields on accounts populated via the rest api??

Thanks

Kevin

No resolution as of yet... sent support an email on the issue. I'm assuming others are running into the same issue.
Even after 8601 update installed, the CPU resources is running at 95-100%. Had to shut down the PMP service for the server to resume to its normal state.

32 to 64 bit

How do I migrate the data from a PMP 32-bit application to a new 64-bit installation?

change role

I need to change the role of an user from Password Administrator to Administrator. The GUI enforces me to pass the user via the "Password User" role before I can change, but since the user owns resources I cant do this since changing from Password Administrator to Password User is not possible.

Is there a way to change role from Password Administrator to Administrator without removing the ownership of all resources?

Staffan

Hi Staffan,

Greetings!
Yes, you can directly change the user role from Password Administrator to an Administrator role without transferring any Resources as both user roles has the ability to own Resources in PMP. You would have to change the ownership only, if you wish to change the user role from Passoword Administrator/Administrator to Password user. Please click on the edit button present next to the user under Admin -- Users section to change the user role.

Hi Staffan,

Thanks for the forum post.
Unfortunately we do not have an option at the moment to migrate from 32 bit to 64 bit architecture. We have this in our 'to do' list and will provide the migration option soon.

Hi Sam,

Thanks for the forum post!
The minimum system requirements are more than sufficient for the delpyement. But for a long run, we recommend the below steup for PMP server.
  • CPU - Quad core or above.
  • 16 GB of RAM.
  • 1 TB of Hard Disc Space.

Hi Kevin,

Greetings!
We have implemented an account edit option using RestAPI in the latest version of PMP 8601. This would allow you to edit and update the custom fields. Refer the below link for more info.

If you are in an older version, please upgrgade your PMP installation to the latest version. You can download the upgrade packs here. You can use the instructions mentioned here to apply the upgrade packs one by one to reach the latest version.Please take a backup of the entire PMP directory prior to the upgrade. This way, even if something goes wrong, you can immediately revert back by deleting the entire PMP directory and place the backup in same location to get your PMP up and running again. If MS SQL is configured as back end, do take a backup of PassTrix database present in MS SQL Server.

Hi,

Apologies for the inconvenience caused.
With the older version of PMP, by default the recorded sessions will be stored inside the database. Since it is occupying more space in the DB, we have provided an option to store the recorded session in a shared drive or outside <PMP-installation directory> .

To get rid of this yellow bar, login to PMP as admin and navigate to Admin --> Session Recording --> Set the  "Directory for storing recorded sessions" (Outside <PMP installation directory>) and click on save once. Doing this will store the recorded session in the specified location and it should get rid of the yellow bar.

Feel free to write us for further assistance.
