Re : Bookmarklet

Hi Steve,

Thank you for taking time to post in our Forums.

The Bookmarklet feature is very much available in 7100 version.  You can drag and drop the bookmarklet from the Web Console by clicking on the  icon found on the top right corner, in the same line of "Web App Passwords" title.

You can automatically login to the websites and fill the User name and passwords for the website accounts stored in PMP using the "Bookmarklet" feature.  Once the Bookmarklet is added, you can launch the web site account and click on the PMP Bookmarklet which will auto-fill the Username and Password for us.

For few web sites the Auto-Submit may not work. We request you to uncheck the PMP Bookmarklet "Auto submit" option from the "Edit Resource" for the web site account and then try to launch the web site. You can also try adding the website to trusted sites in the browser. Also try connecting to the PMP Web Console as https://<hostname>:<port>.

Please refer this link to know more about the Bookmarklet feature.

You may feel free to reply back to this post or reach us at passwordmanagerpro-support@manageengine.com if you have any questions.

Thanks,

Skip to/fast forward to a position in an audit video

Hi,

In PMP we have engineers that require RDP sessions open on resources for hours at a time. Auditing these is very hard if we have to sit through the whole recorded session.

Is there a way to skip to/fast forward to a position in an audit video when playing back a recorded RDP session?

Cheers,

Richard.

Adding Users from AD

Hello ManageEngine,

While importing users from AD, I was wondering if there is a way to make default the option to disable Mobile Access for the users to be imported while in the process?

Thanks & Regards

Running a report with disabled/deleted users

I was running a report on password usage and noticed that some of our password administrators who are no longer with the company have disappeared from the reports.

Since we link our authentication to AD, I suspect that this is because they were disabled and subsequently removed from AD.  However, I would not expect to be unable to find them in reports inside Password Manager Pro, as they did use password assets.

How can I run a report that shows _all_ the password accesses, even for accounts that are disabled or removed?

Hi Eugen,

Thank you for taking time to post in our Forums.

The error message "Cannot open database "PASSTRIX" requested by the login. The login failed." is because of the login privileges to MS-SQL database. Please navigate to services.msc console and run Password Manager Pro service with a domain account that has "sysadmin" privilege for the "PassTrix" database and then start the service. Otherwise, you can assign the Password Manager Pro service account as a sysadmin in the MSSQL Management Studio. Try starting the Password Manager Pro service and let us know how it goes.

If you have any questions, feel free to reply here or drop us an email at passwordmanagerpro-support@manageengine.com

Hi Richard,

Thank you for taking time to post in our Forums.

At present, we do not have an option to Fast Forward/Skip To option when you playback recorded sessions in Password Manager Pro.  We already have this in our roadmap and our team would analyze and implement this in one of our future releases.

If you have any questions, feel free to post your reply here or drop us an email at passwordmanagerpro-support@manageengine.com

Hi Mércio,

Thank you for taking time to post in our Forums.

At present, there is no option to automatically disable mobile access for users imported from Active Directory.  This has be to done manually after the users are imported from Active Directory.

You can disable mobile access in bulk by navigating to Admin -> Users -> Enable Mobile access.  You can only select the users for whom the mobile access has to be enabled here.  Hope this helps.

Feel free to reply to this post or drop us an email at passwordmanagerpro-support@manageengine.com if you have any questions.

Hi Michael,

Thank you for taking time to post in our Forums.

Can you let us know which report you are trying to generate to check the password usage?  As all the password activities are being audited, the Audit will contain information of the password access even for deleted users.  Some of our reports are also based on the Audits recorded in Password Manager Pro.  You can generate a Password Activity Report under Canned Reports and look for a particular password activity to find whether you are able to see the activity done by the disabled administrators.

Alternatively, you can create a Custom Report based on Resource Audit, provide the criteria as "Operation Type" "equals" "Password Retrieved" so that you would be able to get the complete information of all the passwords that are retrieved which would contain information about all the users who had accessed.

Let us know how it goes.

You may feel free to reply to this post or send an email to us at passwordmanagerpro-support@manageengine.com, if you have any questions.

Account Lockout

I have a user who is setup with the role "Super Administrator" and has recently changed their password in Active Directory, now they keep getting locked everyday at the same time and the lockout is initiated from the server that PMP is running from, and is the only thing running on that server.  Nothing shows up on the security log under windows, so I am assuming now that there must be a "job" under PMP that now has the wrong credentials and the user does not remember setting anything up under their credentials.

Is there anywhere they can look in PMP that would show what is setup to run under there cred's, as we have looked and can't see anything.

Hi Derek,

Our apologies for the inconvenience caused.

Can you please search whether this super administrator account has been added as "User Account" under a resource in Password Manager Pro?  You would be able to find this by searching for this account from "Search" box on the top right corner of the PMP Web Console.

If this account is added in Password Manager Pro, Password Manager Pro would perform a scheduled integrity check to make sure that the password of the account stored in our database and the target machine are same.  This can be a reason for why this account lockout occurs.  You can either remove this account so that integrity check is not performed for this account as this is a user account.

If you would like to disable the integrity check, you can navigate to Reports -> Password Integrity -> Schedule Integrity Check -> Disable.

Feel free to reply to this post or drop us an email to passwordmanagerpro-support@manageengine.com if you have any questions.

Hi Valeriya,

Thank you for taking time to post in our Forums.

This error with error code - ORA-28221, occurs when the user who is configured as the "Administrator Account" for the Oracle DB Server resource does not have "Alter User" system privilege.

For changing passwords for Oracle DB Server resource types, we do not use "REPLACE" clause in the query to reset the password.

Instead, please select an account that has "Alter User" system privilege as "Administrator account" so that you would be able to reset password from Password Manager Pro.

Feel free to reply to this post or drop us an email at passwordmanagerpro-support@manageengine.com if you have any questions.

Hi,

We have different people in the office on different days and have a separate support team on weekends. Due to this we require a different access control settings for certain days in the week.

In PMP is it possible to schedule a different access control setting for each day of the week on a resource?

Thanks,

Richard.

32-Bit or 64-Bit Operating Sytem

Looking at the System Requirements in the Installation & Getting Started Document, and it shows all the operating systems that PMP supports. However, the document does not specify if PMP supports 32-bit or 64-bit OS. Does PMP support both 32-bit and 64-bit servers? Specifically for Windows Server 2012?
