Do you have libgcc.i686 installed? I had to install this on CentOS x86_64 in order to run the installer.

I just checked and these are all of the i686 packages that I have installed (but I don't know which were required for PMP and which were required for other applications...):

HA - some troubles

Hi, I have:

1. Win server 2012 - Primary PMP

2. Win server MSSQL DB - Primary DB

3. Win server 2012 - Secondary PMP

4. Win server MSSQL DB - Secondary DB

PMP version 7.1

I have some problems:

When the primary PMP is going down (I do it for test), I am trying to use secondary, in browser I go to https://secondarypmp.com:7272 - but the page is not open (no errors, only wite page).

But If restart service "password manager pro", the page will open and everything is good.

Any idea, how to resolve this trouble?

When I change the location to pmp_key.key either from admin menu or directly editing manage_key.conf file (direct the location to a to a usb stick and move the key file to the stick), nothing changes. I can still run the application from my computer or any computer without the usb stick plugged.

But when I try to restart pmp service, it does not start.

What should I do in order to put this security in effect?

I have the same issue. Just updated to the newest version of PMP and the email notification no longer works. Worked fine when I initially stopped the service before the upgrade (got the email that HA was down), and I got nothing once updated and started the primary and secondary servers.

Thanks for the forum post.

By Design, The Encryption Key is required only during the product start up and it is not required when the application is running. The best practice is to have the encryption key taken offline after a successful start up of the product. For more details please refer the second paragraph from the below link.

Thanks for the forum post.

We request you to follow the below mentioned steps and send us the new logs folder to the below mentioned email address for analysis.

Stop the PMP service on your secondary server.
Rename the existing logs folder as logs_old.
Start the service and the replication will happen between the primary and secondary servers.
Now stop the primary app and DB service.
Try to access the secondary web UI, when you get the blank screen.
Zip and send us the logs folder to us for analysis.

We will analyse the logs and get back to you. Look forward to hear from you.

Agentless setup

Is there a document around that is a guide on how to setup the agentless for Windows PCs? I would like to import all of our computers in our environment and have them automatically change the default administrator password on each machine. But I have not found a cut and dry way on setting this up. Everything I've tried has not worked either. So if someone can give me a guide or some pointers, that would be great.

I know this isn't the main use of PMP but can a resource type be created for a physical door combination type lock? It wouldn't need a dns or ip address associated with it. I'd like to be able to store the combination in a central place.

We would like to know whether you had completely uninstalled, re-installed the secondary server and had configured High Availability. Please navigate to Admin -> Mail Server Settings, test the mail server settings and check whether you are able to receive email to the configured email account. Also zip and send us the logs directory to passwordmanagerpro-support@manageengine.com so that we would be able to check for any errors prints and find the root cause of this issue

We do not have any document which would help you in configuring password reset for all the computers part of the domain, after you import them into Password Manager Pro.

But, you may find the step-by-step instructions below which would help you in configuring password reset for all local administrator accounts residing in the computers imported from Active Directory :

Please make sure to start the Password Manager Pro service with a service account that has domain admin privileges. This will help us in pulling out all the local accounts from the computers and add it as a user account under that resource.
Click on Resources -> More Actions -> Import from Domain, select the domain, provide the domain controller and its credentials and hit Import. All the OUs and AD Groups will be enumerated and you may choose which OU/Group you should import into Password manager Pro.
After the import operation is complete, just click on a imported resource and check whether the local accounts part of the computer are listed. The passwords of the user accounts imported will, by default, be the username, as we will not be able to import the passwords.
Navigate to Resources -> Resource Groups and then add a group providing a criteria. For eg., Resource Type equals Windows and User Account equals Administrator. This will make sure that all the local administrator of the domain member computers are grouped.
Once you create the group, click on "Scheduled Password Reset" icon under the "Password Reset" column with respect to that group.
Now you would be able to schedule the password reset by navigating through the wizard.
You can also do a password reset instantly, by selecting the group and click on Bulk Configuration -> Perform Password Reset.

Yes, you can very well create a resource type and then add the lock combination as a password in Password Manager Pro. For this you need not provide any DNS/IP Address and your requirement of having it in a centralized repository can very well be solved.

The issue I am having is that when I go to create a new Resource Type, the DNS/IP Address field is required and I cannot uncheck the box. Not a show stopper as we can just put in a placeholder name. I was just wondering if i was missing something.

Is the Bookmarklet still a feature? I am trying to auto login to some websites and the URL method does not seem to be working for this site. Browsing the forums I saw some posts about the Bookmarklet but I do not have the option to install it as it is documented. There is no Bookmarklet option under the Auto Logon/web app passwords tab. We are on version 7.1 build 7100.
