Hi,

Thanks for the forum post.
The difference between the Windows and WindowsDomain agent is, Windows agent will be installed on the servers or workstations to manage the local accounts. The WindowsDomain agent will be installed on the Domain controller for managing the Domain accounts.

The Windows agent will automatically windows server along with local accounts present in it and the resource type will be "Windows". The Windows Domain agent is to manage the Domain accounts, which has to be deployed in the Domain controller. The Domain agent will only add the DC as resource in PMP and the resource type will be "WindowsDomain". But, the windowsDomain agent will not add the domain accounts automatically so you have to add the accounts manually in PMP.

So, based on the type of account you are managing, you have deploy the agent. Feel free to write us if you have any other questions.

Thanks & Regards,
Chris
