The timeout issue after the upgrade might be because of the browser cache. Please delete all the cache files, delete cookies, history and temp files in the browser and try logging into the web console and let us know how it goes. Please refer this link for more information on clearing the cache files in IE and make sure you follow the steps under further troubleshooting in the provided link.
