The best way to start/stop the PMP service is by navigating to the services console(services.msc). You will find the Password Manager Pro service listed, which you can stop and proceed with the upgrade. With regards to the tray icon, navigate to Task Manager and kill PMP.exe. Then right click PMP.exe from PMP directory and select "Run as Admin". It should then load properly. When the PMP.exe is already running under another user's profile, it might not load properly in another profile.
